BASELWORLD 2009 | Travel and Hotels | Travel | By rail
By rail

Basel has excellent rail links to places throughout Europe. The SBB, DB and SNCF railway stations are close to the exhibition site. All stations have a BASELWORLD Welcome Desk where you can find out more about Basel and BASELWORLD.

The No. 2 tram outside the SBB rail station will take you directly to Exhibitions Square (Messeplatz). During shows there is also a special service, tram No. E. Both services will take you to the Exhibitions Square in ten minutes. At the SBB rail station you can leave your luggage in a left-luggage locker. The charge of CHF 2 will be refunded when you return to pick up your luggage.

From the Badischen Bahnhof/Rail Station a No. 2 or a No. 6 tram will get you to Exhibitions Square in just a few minutes. Why not walk? It is only 5 minutes to the exhibition site.

Europe's main rail operators run trains services from here. 1st and 2nd class travel in clean, comfortable trains on all services. Many trains have a restaurant car.
