HISTORY

The first AHCI exhibition took place at Le Locle in 1985, and was followed by Baselworld in 1987. 30 years later, the AHCI unites 30 idealists from all over the world.

MISSION

To perpetuate independent watch and clock-making by:

Promoting the unique character of handmade timepieces.

Attracting the world’s most creative independent watchmakers.

Supporting young watchmakers build independent businesses via the Young Talents Competition.

KNOWLEDGE

AHCI members create art by following the processes of traditional watchmaking, from rough sketches through to the exquisite finished timepieces.

RECOGNITION

AHCI menbers have received 26 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève trophies, including the Special Jury Prize for the AHCI’s outstanding contribution to fine watchmaking.
