Baselworld cooperates with Basel restaurants and bars

Baselworld is expanding its hospitality programme and now announces restaurant and night spot partners.

Following the 49 partner hotels, the Baselworld hospitality team has been able to win around 40 Basel restaurants and selected bars and clubs for a partnership. They are actively recommended to visitors by Baselworld and are listed on the Baselworld website. The prerequisites for the partnership are, among other things, that the restaurants do not raise their prices during the Baselworld period compared to their normal menu, that they are only a maximum of ten minutes away from the show and that they can offer sufficient seating (more than 30). In addition, they will serve a special Baselworld menu or provide a "Baselworld Offer".

"We know that gastronomy in the city plays an important role in the evaluation of our visitors' sojourn during the show", says Michel Loris-Melikoff, Managing Director of Baselworld. "In this area, there was repeated criticism, especially that prices were too high at the time of the show or that the cost/benefit ratio was not appropriate. Together with our partners, we are now demonstrating that there are many positive alternatives in Basel, because we only recommend restaurants that offer our guests demonstrably fair prices and a culinary standard commensurate with Baselworld."

In addition to the restaurants, three bars and clubs have also become Baselworld partners and are recommended as "Baselworld Night Spots". They are located along a route from the Exhibition Square into the city. "Our partners want to show that trade fair visitors in Basel can enjoy a nightlife as varied as it is sophisticated," says Michel Loris-Melikoff. One of our partners, the "Singerhaus", will therefore even open a pop-up restaurant on the second floor especially for Baselworld.
