Aaron Shum Jewelry wows with a plethora of sparkling stones
Coronet, a signature Swiss brand of Aaron Shum Jewelry, once again exceeded expectations at Baselworld: the brand was awarded its 9th Guinness World Record for ‘the most diamonds set on a watch’. The ‘Mudan’ watch features 15,858 diamonds (400 ct.) set in 18k gold with artist Reena Ahluwalia’s matchless diamond painting on the dial. Reena Ahluwalia is an award-winning jewellery designer, diamond painter, professor, speaker and community builder. Recognised as one of the Top Masters of Jewelry Design in Canada, she creates jewellery with deep meaning and symbolism. Her diamond paintings are hyper-realistic and take hundreds of hours to create. The Coronet watch is inspired by peonies, as they symbolise nobility, honour and wealth. The diamond painting on the dial represents the shining nobility that we carry within. Peony (Mudan 牡丹) is known as the ‘King of the flowers’ in Chinese culture.
