Feminine magic
They dance and dance and dance! The Happy Diamonds from Chopard have been gliding and pirouetting across the dial of the Happy Sport Oval for more than twenty-five years. This pretty model is now part of the company’s collection in a modernised contemporary form. The feminine ladies’ watch has also received a new bracelet, which is based on the design from the 1990s.
The bracelet’s eye-catchers are its oval, gently rounded and polished links, which nestle closely together. The links are so closely interconnected that a supple band is created. The bracelet calls to mind a braid and fits most comfortably around its wearer’s wrist. This wearing comfort applies to both the stainless steel and pink gold versions. If desired, this watch’s feminine glamour can be further accentuated with diamonds: all versions of the Happy Sport Oval are available with precious stones on their bezels.
The version made of precious metal not only stands for craftsmanship, but also for Chopard’s ethical commitment. The family-owned company announced at last year’s Baselworld that it would henceforth work only with so-called “ethical” gold, i.e. fair-mined and fair-traded gold. This big step has now been taken and the new Happy Sport oval in pink gold is crafted from this ethical gold.
Another special feature of this new ladies’ watch is ensconced inside its oval case. It contains a self-winding mechanical movement from Chopard’s own studios. The in-house calibre combines the feminine aesthetics of Chopard’s design with traditional watchmaking artistry.
