A new diver’s watch from Sinn caused a sensation in 1999: The 203 Arktis was the brand’s first diver’s chronograph with temperature-resistant technology. The invention assured that it would function reliably in a temperature range from -45° to +80° Celsius.
To commemorate the model’s 20th anniversary, Sinn now presents the 206 Arktis II, which refers to its predecessor’s instrumental aesthetics, including the colour of the dial and the look of the screwable push-pieces, although these no longer require screwing.
In comparison to the reference 203, the diameter of the stainless-steel case has increased from 41 to 43 millimetres. But Valjoux’s legendary chronograph calibre 7750 with day/date display also sets the pace in the new version. It ticks behind a screwed sapphire crystal back. The 206 Arktis II impresses with Sinn’s typical technologies, including AR dehumidifying technology, temperature resistance and an impossible-to-lose rotatable bezel. Water- resistant to 300 metres, it is also protected against magnetic fields.
