Transportation of Valuables

Swiss WorldCargo delivers success to Baselworld

As the event’s official airline, SWISS makes a crucial contribution every year to Baselworld’s success. It’s not only visitors – mainly retailers and wholesalers – who fly in on Switzerland’s home carrier; most of the latest trends and creations in terms of watches, diamonds and jewellery, precious gems and pearls are also brought in on SWISS flights.

A large proportion of the valuable goods, which are showcased in the luxury exhibition area, has to be imported into Switzerland from abroad, and then exported back to its countries of origin after the event. To ship these valuable consignments, many of the participants turn to Swiss WorldCargo, the air cargo division of SWISS, with the highly secure solutions and fast connections it offers from all the stations in its extensive route network.

Swiss WorldCargo, which markets the belly capacity of the SWISS fleet, is specialised in high-quality, care intensive transportation solutions and is the market leader when it comes to the transportation of valuables.

Swiss aircraft is being loaded

- the fastest connecting times
- handling by specially-trained personnel
- transport in special sealed metal containers
- storage from acceptance to delivery in secure and constantly-attended facilities
- delivery only against the signature of the authorised consignee
