Black-and-white wristwatches and jewellery pieces impressively combine self-confident style, minimalism and sophistication. These newcomers celebrate contrast in its purest form.

Rolex is extending its Yacht-Master range with a new 42 mm model, the Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master 42. Yacht-Master sailing watches are recognisable thanks to their distinctive bidirectional rotatable bezel with a raised 60-minute graduation. The Yacht-Master 42 is fitted with a Cerachrom insert in matt-black ceramic that perfectly complements its black lacquer dial. Created from 18 ct white gold, this new watch heralds the arrival of this precious metal on a Yacht-Master model. Like all Rolex Professional watches, the Yacht-Master 42, equipped with calibre 3235, offers exceptional legibility in all circumstances, thanks to its Chromalight display. The broad hands and hour markers are filled with a luminescent material emitting a long-lasting glow. Like all Rolex watches, the Yacht-Master 42 carries the Superlative Chronometer certification, which ensures excellent performance on the wrist.

Waldmann Fountain Pen Viennese engravingWaldmann

The Birkenfeld-based company Waldmann has been handcrafting high-quality writing instruments made of precious metals and other metals for 101 years. This solid sterling silver fountain pen is part of the company’s own collection and boasts a special engraving technique. “Viennese engraving” is a technique for which very few competent experts remain. These skilled artisans use special engraving tools to manually engrave intricate patterns into the metal. Although the pattern follows a basic form, the individual engravings can vary in their width and depth. The Viennese engraving technique thus makes each piece into a one-of-a-kind treasure.
