The Air version of the Citizen 30th Anniversary Limited Edition PromasterThis year, Citizen Watch celebrates the 30th anniversary of its core collection, the Promaster, which has won the admiration of sports professionals around the world. To celebrate this milestone, Citizen is launching three commemorative editions that highlight each category of models: air, land and sea.

The Air version is a professional pilot’s watch, with Satellite Wave GPS function and a light-powered Eco-Drive movement and a Super Titanium case with Duratect MRK and DLC surface hardening. The Land model also features Eco-Drive technology and a Super Titanium case with Duratect MRK Gold surface hardening. Its functions include an analogue altimeter that measures altitudes up to 10,000 – higher than the Earth’s tallest mountain – and depths down to 300 metres below sea level. The special Sea edition is a professional diver’s watch with a specialized analogue depth indicator that can display time and depths of up to 70 metres simultaneously. It is water-resistant to a depth of 200 metres, compliant with ISO and JIS standards, and powered by Citizen’s Eco-Drive technology. The Air and Land models in the 30th Anniversary Promaster Limited Editions will be made in a series of 1,989 pieces. The Sea model will be made in a series of 6,000 pieces.

With a natural passion for environmental wellness, Citizen Watch has selected this Promaster anniversary to highlight sustainability’s unsung heroes – those who actively protect the environment every day. Together with the History Channel, Citizen has released a campaign to report those efforts along with activists’ stories in a series of short movies. The series highlights their ongoing work to save both the world’s most pristine environments and its wildlife.
